What You Need to Know
What documents are needed for my pet to travel?
Virgin Australia require pets traveling between 8 & 12 weeks of age and over 12 years of age to have a Fit to Fly Certificate by your Vet within 14 days of travel.
Vaccination Records are not a requirement for Domestic Travel but are strongly suggest to be up to date.
Our team will guide you through what paperwork your pet requires.
How far in advance should I book my pet’s travel?
We recommend booking at least 2 – 4 weeks in advance for domestic travel requiring Pick Ups or Deliveries. The further in advance you book the more likely you will get the most suitable day and flight.
Will my pet be safe and comfortable during the flight?
Yes! Your pet will travel in a climate-controlled, pressurised area of the aircraft, in an airline-approved crate sized for their comfort. We also prepare your pet beforehand to minimise stress.
Is it possible to send more than one pet at the same time?
Absolutely. We can coordinate travel for multiple pets, whether they’re travelling together or separately. Let us know your needs during the consultation.
What happens if there are flight delays or cancellations?
We monitor all flights closely and make immediate arrangements if delays occur. Your pet's safety and comfort are always our top priority, including arranging temporary accommodation if needed.
Do you offer door-to-door pickup and delivery?
Yes! We can provide full door to door service around most main Airports, including pick up from your home and delivery to your destination – making the journey as easy as possible for both you and your pet.
